The Dannon Project helps these individuals assimilate into their communities.

Gregg Shivers

Gregg Shivers is Norfolk’s first celebrated Community Champion. Affectionately referred to as "Coach Shivers" by the kids at the Diggstown Southside Boys and Girls Club, he teaches and nurtures more than 125 youths. His goal is to teach them so that they may have a brighter future.

Kelly Hutchinson

Not only does Kelly Hutchinson participate in many service projects, she founded REFORM, a program that helps at-risk youth and young adults grow into healthy, productive men. Her selfless dedication to the community is why she is Charlotte’s 2009 Community Champion.

Glinda Fincher

For Glinda Fincher, family and community come first. In 2007, she established G.I.A. (Girls In Action) to help young high school girls in Birmingham build their character, self-esteem, and leadership skills. Today we celebrate Glinda as Birmingham’s 2009 Community Champion.

Ekundayo Bandele

Ekundayo Bandele is a cultural leader and the newest Memphis Community Champion. As the founder and creative director of Hattiloo Theatre, he exposes underprivileged youth to different cultures and art forms, helping them become well-rounded leaders in their community.
