Harris-Caldwell founded Blessings in the Storm to provide a safe place for women and children who are homeless or who have fallen victim to homelessness and worldly addictions. Her outreach ministry offers a home-life structure that provides spiritual development and teaches life management, independent living, and parenting skills. Harris - Caldwell's approach is realistic; she meets people where they are because she has walked in her sisters' shoes. Her ministry is a "ministry of helps" and she encourages all women to come together to help dismantle generational barriers.
